California Revealed: an initiative of the California State Library that provides digitization, digital preservation, and online access to over 370 partners including public libraries, archives, historical societies, and others dedicated to documenting the cultural heritage of the state.
Over 120,000 objects from more than 370 partner institutions.
Custom Institution pages display information about the institution, along with a list of the institution's objects.
Wide range of content including digitized video and audio, newspapers, photographs, microfilm, and more.
Users are able to browse by partner institution, types of materials, locations, subjects, and more.
Not visible to the public are complex custom workflows that allow California Revealed staff to manage thousands of digitization projects.
